Xinnor, a leading innovator in high-performance storage solutions, today announced that its xiRAID technology has achieved exceptional results in the latest IO500 research list published at ISC High Performance 2025. The solution submitted by MEGWARE in production at Erlangen National High Performance Computing Center (NHR@FAU) secured the #1 position among Lustre-based solutions and an impressive #3 ranking in the overall IO500 production list.

The winning submission demonstrated outstanding performance across multiple benchmarks, achieving a total IO500 score of 838.99 using just a ½ rack solution – a remarkable feat that sets it apart from traditional large-scale deployments. Key performance highlights include:

  • IOR Easy Read: 1,798.77 GiB/s
  • IOR Easy Write: 811.33 GiB/s
  • MDtest Easy Stat: 8,221.83 kIOPS
  • Find Operations: 3,016.99 kIOPS
  • Overall Bandwidth: 438.62 GiB/s
  • Overall IOPS: 1,604.84 kiops

This remarkable achievement demonstrates that exceptional performance can be achieved with significantly reduced infrastructure footprint.

The production-ready system at NHR@FAU demonstrates that organizations no longer need to choose between performance, reliability and efficiency. This compact deployment model offers several critical advantages:

This time, Xinnor and MEGWARE reached the top of the list with a production deployment with no single point of failure, demonstrating the continued advancement and optimization of xiRAID technology.
